Everyone Loves a Parade!
The annual Centreville Memorial Day Parade WILL be held this year.
Due to the retirement of the gentleman that has been managing the parade for the past several years, there was some question as to whether the annual parade would be held.
Thanks to the joint efforts of the Jeff Davis Post #18 of the American Legion, Centreville Alive!, Council Member Smokey Sigler and Town Staff, we were able to gauge enough interest to confirm the parade.
Since confirming the parade, we have had several additional groups that have expressed interest, and it's looking like it will be a great time!
As usual, the lineup will start at 11:00am at the QAC High School, and the parade will begin at noon.
This year, there will be several events after the parade, in an effort to keep people in the downtown area. Lawyer's Row will be closed to traffic and there will be music, a cornhole tournament and other family activities.
There will also be an exciting Civil War Re-enactment at the Court House Square.
This should be a great time for all!
Please join me in attending the parade and remembering and honoring those who have served our Country. |
To enter your group in the parade, please call Town Hall at: 410-758-1180.
There will be Tractors... |
There will be classic cars.... |
There will be civic groups.... |
Shriners! Everyone loves the Shriners.... |
And of course, bands. We have several bands signed up! |
